Mersin Organized Industrial Zone Chooses OmniMatic for Its Integrated Sustainability Journey

Within the scope of the “Sustainable Organized Industrial Zones Project”, carried out in collaboration between OSBÜK and OmniCon, the OmniMatic software will enable the Mersin Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) Directorate and leading participant companies in the region to manage their sustainability performance, carbon footprint, Green OIZ, green transformation, and green maturity indicators through a single integrated platform.

This system allows all indicators to be calculated, reported, monitored through a map-based interface, and improved in an integrated way. As a result, the Mersin OIZ Directorate and participant companies will be able to conduct sustainability analyses collectively, achieving improvement “organized and together.”

As part of this collaboration, an online training session was held on October 13, conducted by OmniCon exclusively for Mersin OIZ participants. The session introduced the use of OmniMatic, along with modules for data management and sustainability reporting in detail.

The model aims to bring participants together within an optimal circular-economy network, maximizing collective sustainability while minimizing the overall carbon footprint through a holistic approach.

Additionally, within the project framework, infrastructures for green-fund-eligible project designs, carbon exchanges, and the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) will be developed. Furthermore, common templates for corporate sustainability and carbon-footprint reporting will facilitate documentation processes in line with national and international standards.
