Scope
Within the scope of the “Sustainable Organized Industrial Zones Project” carried out between OSBÜK and Omnicon, OSB directorates and participating companies that voluntarily participate in the Project will be able to calculate, monitor, report, and track the sustainability level, carbon footprint, Green OSB, green transformation, and green maturity indicators in a single programming format and on a common platform coordinated by OSBÜK.

has been developed under the name Omnimatic. As the first application to initiate collaboration with OSBÜK, Omnimatic is the only solution that offers optimized carbon footprint and sustainability improvement solutions compliant with scientific ASHRAE metrics, having been verified by TSE across all relevant scopes.
Application and Objectives
The aim is to create a design concept that can facilitate the discovery of solution content that can bring together OSB companies and OSB directorates across Turkey in an optimal circular economy network, using an algorithm that performs integrated data analysis within Omnimatic.
By identifying solution-focused areas that can provide such a network, a methodological approach will be developed that enables OSB directorates and participating companies to collectively maximize sustainability levels while minimizing their carbon footprint in a holistic manner.
Thus, the design infrastructure will be developed to enable the emergence of solution contents that aim to establish an integrated circular economy organization for the Turkish OSB industry, or in other words, contribute to access to an “organized and integrated” industry, in a manner compatible with the green fund collaborations of institutions such as the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, the World Bank, and the EBRD.
Benefits
The benefits anticipated to be collectively achieved by OSB directorates, participating companies, and OSBÜK through the project are outlined below.
Analysis data related to the sustainability levels, carbon footprints, green transformation, and green OSB indicators of OSB directorates and participating companies can be shared with OSBÜK as aggregated data for use in project development activities that can be carried out under the coordination of OSBÜK.
The indicators used to calculate the sustainability, carbon footprint, Green OSB, and green transformation levels of OSB directorates and participating companies can be analyzed, enabling the development of optimized and integrated measures to enhance sustainability, accelerate green transformation, and reduce carbon footprints. These analyses can be tailored according to regional and sectoral parameters. This comprehensive body of information, which will serve as an advanced analysis and documentation of the sustainability level of the Turkish OSB industry, will be managed under the coordination of OSBÜK.
Information and graphs related to the sustainability level, green transformation level, and carbon footprint of the Turkish OSB industry can be tracked from a single map of Turkey.
At the level of aggregated data from OSB directorates and participating companies, national carbon footprint, sustainability, and green transformation values can be revealed on a map-based basis. An important monitoring tool will be developed to analyze improvements achieved in the indicators. Meaningful and original infographics produced through this tool, which can also be used in national and international reports, will be advanced under the coordination of OSBÜK.
A platform will be established to explore an integrated circular economy network that can maximize the sustainability levels of OSB directorates and participating companies and minimize their carbon footprints.
A programming infrastructure will be developed to help bring together OSB directorates and participating companies as stakeholders in a sustainability network where resources are not left idle but are continuously transformed into new business outputs with maximum added value in a circular structure. In this way, in line with the terminological purpose of the OSB concept, the requirements for OSB industrialists and administrators to come together in an analytical framework where they optimally feed each other's workflows in an organized and integrated ecosystem can be determined.
A tool design framework can be developed for analytical tracking of how improvements in sustainability indicators can be achieved by OSB stakeholders and the OSB industry as a whole. The aforementioned infographic content can be used in relevant national and international reports and in green fund negotiations with financial institutions.
Support will be provided for the development of project titles eligible for funding from the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, the World Bank, and the EBRD.
The data outputs to be generated will serve as support elements to identify optimized green solutions that enable OSB directorates and companies to continuously improve their sustainability and carbon footprint at both the individual and collective levels. This will facilitate the development of solution contents that assist in effectively utilizing relevant green funding opportunities.
An analysis of the energy and raw material needs of OSB stakeholders can be created.
Helpful information regarding the medium-term energy and raw material requirements for the sustainable growth of OSB companies and directorates can be determined.
Infrastructure can be established to determine the tools that can be used in the carbon market, Emission Trading System, SKDM, and sustainable finance markets.
Following the calculation of the sustainability and carbon footprint of OSB stakeholders, analyses can be identified to help determine how these values may change when green solutions are implemented in specific areas. While identifying supporting information to assess the financial value of these changes, a mechanism can be established to assist in developing the financial value of the aforementioned initiatives.
OSBÜK's guidance will facilitate the development of a common template for corporate sustainability reports and carbon footprint reports for OSB directorates and participating companies.
For sustainability and carbon footprint reports, a format that can be used and published on a large scale by OSB companies and directorates participating in the project will be created, thereby reducing the documentation burden on industrialists. This will enable easy and quick comparison or analysis between reports. Thanks to report formats that can be designed in accordance with international standards, it will be possible to assist in developing documentation capacity that can be used globally and presented to relevant organizations.
